Objectives

This work package provides a broader outreach activity consisting of a monthly seminar given via a video-link on topics affecting the entire Fusion Modelling Community. The goal here is to reach the widest possible audience within the EFDA Modelling Community, providing a mix of very concrete talks through to more general talks.

Description of Work

Possible topics include:

• Experiences gained in porting code X to the High Performance Computer Y
• The implementation of multi-scale processes into climate models
• Use of the Gateway Computer
• Explaining the ITM concept of a CPO (Consistent Physical Object) and the use of the UAL (Universal Access Layer)
• Using Scientific Workflow Engines: KEPLER

The seminar series also provides a forum for the trainees to present their results on a regular basis.

The European modelling community is kindly invited to suggest topics.
